United Heartland names new corporate underwriting director

United Heartland has appointed Mary Miller as director of corporate underwriting who has been serving since past five months.

In this new role, Miller is responsible for the ongoing development of the company's underwriting strategy and direction, with direct involvement in underwriting quality control, divisional consultation and training.

Prior to the joining to United Heartland, Miller served Zurich as senior vice president/Liability Line of Business director.

Miller also served national insurance companies, including Northbrook Insurance Company, Unigard Insurance Company, Great American Insurance, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and Zurich North America in underwriting leadership.

Established in 1990, United Heartland is based in New Berlin, Wisconsin and actively markets in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, and insures workers' compensation clients across the US.
